11E seeks passionate and motivated individuals to care for pediatric inpatients, ranging in age from birth up to, and including, 19 years of age. We care for both pre-operative and post-operative patients, admitted for a variety of surgeries (including General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedic, GU, Neurosurgery, and Trauma). We also provide care for children admitted for burns, as well as those with gastrointestinal disorders. In addition to the variety of surgical patients that we care for, we also have medical overflow patients admitted to our unit. 11E is well known for our high ADT (Admission, Discharge, and Transfer) rate, resulting in an incredibly fast-paced environment. We also frequently assist with, and monitor sedation for, a variety of procedures, including but not limited to PICC line insertion, and burn dressing changes.
