As a Call Center Representative, the incumbent's responsibilities include answering incoming lines to the call center. Utilizing extensive knowledge of Upstate Medical University services, the Representative will effectively and efficiently discern the callers' needs and appropriately assist. The Representative will provide one call resolution, when possible, demonstrating excellent customer service and problem solving skills, while assisting callers with appointment scheduling requests, clinical area messages and all other requests regarding providers and services of University Hospital and Upstate Medical University. The incumbent will utilize several information systems and will interact with departments, services and providers throughout Upstate Medical University while documenting call activity using information systems.

To assist the PI in carrying out experiments to study DNA double strand break formation and genome instability in various cell line models. Routine experiments include analysis of genomic DNA and agarose gel electrophoresis, PCR, western blots, and immunofluorescence. Additional roles include preparing NextGen sequencing libraries for experiments including RNA-seq and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP)-seq. Sequencing data analysis not required but can be trained. Candidates must be well organized, detail-oriented, and be able to maintain impeccable experimental records.

The primary responsibilities of a student assistant with the web applications team is to gather information, plan, design, develop, test and migrate web applications to be used by Human Resources, Payroll, Purchasing, IMT, campus and the hospital. They will work closely with a senior developer and the end-user to help organize and implement their plan. They will identify areas in existing code and applications where we can streamline the process and devise a plan to implement those changes. They will be responsible to identify areas of code that can be cleaned up and re-organized for legibility. They will also help to develop a plan for more refined documentation and a site-map process to better assist with tracking the application life cycle. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to provisioning authorization requests, writing error handling procedures, database migration plans and working with junior and senior-level developers to plan a site-wide rewrite.
