| Job Summary: |
Will perform standardized registration and discharge procedures to include greeting patients, entering/verifying demographic, insurance and/or financial information. Schedules patient appointments, monitors provider schedules, EPIC work queues, inbaskets etc. Review need for referrals or authorizations and obtains information that may be required. Use of computer systems such as EPIC, Word, Groupwise, etc. Assist with mail distribution and other tasks assigned by leadership. |
| Minimum Qualifications: |
The NYS Department of Civil Service has developed the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement (HELP) Program, Effective April 5th, 2023. During this program, the NYS Civil Service Exam requirements are suspended for the Hospital Patient Services Clerk 1, SG07 title.
For consideration for this title, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
One year full-time clerical, secretarial or patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
