Job Summary: Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Associate Director of Nursing for the Cancer Center assumes overall responsibility for the implementation of the vision, mission, plans and standards of the organization and patient care services within the Cancer Center. Specific duties include management and evaluation of clinical operations, customer and staff satisfaction, quality management, standards, certification and accreditation activities, professional practice activities, nursing staff education, and developing community relationships in order to ensure consistent high quality patient care in the Cancer Center and outpatient offsite locations. This role with have the support of two Assistant Directors of Nursing.
Minimum Qualifications:

NYS Licensed/Registered (or eligible) Registered Nurse required. Bachelors degree in Nursing or Masters degree in Nursing required. Minimum of seven years post licensure RN experience in an acute, ambulatory care, or hematology oncology environment, to include a combination of five years of progressively responsible nursing management, supervisory, or clinical/advanced practice provider experience required.  A doctoral degree will count towards one year of management/supervisory experience. Effective leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills required. CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.
