Job Summary:

The Neurocritical care Advanced Practice Provider will serve in a full-time role to provide care to patients in the Neurocritical care unit at the SUNY Upstate Downtown campus.  Responsibilities include providing expert level clinical care & coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care assessing & evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing & diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation & therapeutic services, and maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians & all members of the health care team.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certified and current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Neurology and critical care experience preferred.   

Work Days:

Full-time, days, nights, weekends and holidays, 12-hour shifts
