| Job Summary: |
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Nursing for the Upstate Cancer Center, the Assistant Director of Nursing assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, organizing and overseeing the satellite offices reporting through Upstate Cancer Center. Specific duties include management and evaluation of clinical operations, customer and staff satisfaction, quality management, standards, certification and accreditation activities, professional practice activities, nursing staff education, and developing community relationships. |
| Minimum Qualifications: |
NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) Registered Nurse required. Bachelors degree in Nursing or Masters degree in Nursing required. Minimum of 5 years relevant post RN licensure experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting to include a combination of 2 years of nursing management, supervisory, or advanced practice experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, leadership, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills required. CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.

Master's degree preferred. Oncology experience preferred. Oncology or Nursing Executive certification preferred.
