Job Summary: |
The Pediatric Clinical Practice Coordinator (PCPC) will facilitate the integration of quality and safety initiatives and Evidence Based Practice on the off shifts in addition to providing support for the new to practice nurses. The PCPC will demonstrate an understanding of integral criteria and appropriate level of care standards for populations served. Will support functions to meet and /or exceed regulatory requirements and standards (i.e. DOH, DNV and SPS). Will also collect quality improvement data and assist off shift in addressing variances and opportunities for improvement. Supports and role models a Culture of Safety. Collaborates with Peds Clinical Nurse Specialist to develop, implement and evaluate process improvement initiatives for Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
NYS licensed/registered RN (or eligible), Masters degree in Nursing and a minimum of three years acute care pediatric RN experience required. Excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills and strong problem-solving abilities required. CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications: |
National certification in specialty preferred. Leadership or participation on Quality Improvement Teams or projects preferred.

Work Days: |
Monday-Friday, evenings/nights.
