Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing Upstate Orthopedics marketing and outreach efforts. Works to develop and implement an annual Marketing Plan to promote the physicians, practice, and our services to the community including referring physicians and the general public. Acts as a positive representative for Upstate Orthopedics. Adheres to strict annual budget. Completes special projects as assigned and necessary. Supports and promotes Upstate Orthopedics ideology, mission, vision, and objectives focusing on the ultimate goal of growing the business and building and maintaining top of mind awareness for current and future patients and their orthopedic needs.

Job Overview: Marketing Coordinator

1. Performs in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures.

2. Participates in facility committees, meetings, in-services, and activities.

3. Seeks out additional assignments and duties.

4. Designs, implements, and facilitates annual Marketing Plan for Upstate Orthopedics.

5. Follows and administers Upstate Orthopedics annual marketing budget for advertising, sponsorship, and outreach efforts.

6. Reviews and makes recommendations all sponsorship and advertising requests to ensure the request follows Upstate Orthopedics mission, vision, and goals.

7. Works closely with organizations Upstate Orthopedics supports to ensure biggest exposure for Upstate Orthopedics.

8. Ensures that all marketing approvals are paid for timely and the requestor is provided with the necessary information (i.e. Upstate Orthopedics logo, sponsorship/advertising agreements, etc.).

9. Meets with outside organizations to discuss new marketing opportunities and presents ideas to the Practice Manager, Executive Director and Chairman.

10. Gathers statistical, demographic, and key information on referral sources, patients, and other groups in order to further promote Upstate Orthopedics services.

11. Markets to existing and potential referral sources and businesses promoting Upstate Orthopedics services.

12. Develops and maintains a professional service-oriented relationship with all those using our services.

13. Establishes marketing plan for all new providers or services at Upstate Orthopedics.

14. Coordinates photos, print ads, brochures, radio advertising, etc. to ensure positive promotion.

15. Actively participates in committees that have outreach involvement.

16. Works closely and meets monthly with Practice Manager and Executive Director to discuss marketing efforts and strategy with goal of increasing exposure in the community resulting in growing patient volume.

17. Identifies and develops outreach opportunities for Upstate Orthopedics.

18. Coordinates advertising and promotion of provider/staff presentations, seminars, luncheons.

19. Creates and develops outreach promotional materials such as brochures, letters, posters, ads.

20. Oversees content of Upstate Orthopedics Facebook page and other social media accounts and website content.

21. Monitors online reviews through various social media sites and develops action plans to increase ratings.

22. Facilitates website content changes via the iHealthspot portal and submits work orders for web design changes

23. Keeps abreast of new Upstate Orthopedics techniques, procedures and services as they relate to business development and potential community promotion.

24. Completes other duties and special projects, as assigned or requested.

25. Has cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians.

26. Has ability to promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and general public.

27. Has ability to work independently, make decisions and solve problems.

28. Uses practice resources appropriately and avoids wasteful practices and reports wasteful practices.

29. Analyzes work area and makes recommendations for potential cost-effective improvements.

30. Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of social media platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Marketing, Business, or Communications (or at least 5 years; experience in healthcare marketing).
