Job Summary:
  • Submits new and renewal IRB and FDA research protocol applications.
  • Summarizes protocols for IRB and revises consent documents to adhere to SUNY IRB and FDA requirements.
  • Communicates and documents transactions w/ IRB/FDA pertaining to revisions and amendments to protocol and consents.
  • Acts as a liaison to industry sponsors for potential and ongoing research studies.
  • Maintains research documents, collects patient data per specifications of protocols, maintains research files (approval letters, annual reviews, and case report forms).
  • Distributes protocols and keeps research personnel informed about updates.
  • Maintains and monitors research grant expenditures.
  • Gathers all necessary documents and records for study initiations, reviews and audits.
  • Assists in pre-screening activities and identifying sources for potential recruitment.
  • Obtains informed consent and follows patients course of treatment by collecting data during the study procedures.
  • Reports study compliance and any adverse events.
  • Provides in-service training to appropriate staff in regard to on-going research activities.
  • Educate subjects on their rights as research subjects and reviews with them their responsibilities as study participants.
  • Provides clinical support to Interventional Radiology Clinic, including research patient scheduling, procedure screening, procedure assisting, patient interviews and patient follow-up.
  • Updates clinical every six months
  • Maintains all ongoing Radiology Principal Investigator studies.
  • Creates budgets for any and all studies.
  • Subject recruitment.
  • IRB submissions for initial, annual review and close out procedures.
  • Track and follow up study visits for subjects that participate in any study.
  • Mange billing for study charges incurred during Radiology Assisted Studies.
  • Submits all invoices to sponsors for payment to institution.
  • Data entry for collected study data points.
  • Radiology Dept. Q/A study mgmt.
  • Track CITI training for Radiology Faculty, staff, residents and fellows.
  • Evaluate incoming studies from other departments.
  • Works with other coordinators in other departments/institutions.
  • Reports monthly at MDPHD meeting.
  • Meets w/ Chairman of Radiology bi-weekly.
  • Presentations for Good Clinical Practices for Radiology faculty, staff, residents and fellows.

Ability to work independently. Has the flexibility to work remote and in the office.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and up to 2 years related experience. May need certification or license, depending on specific trials. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
