Job Summary: Under the direction of the Associate Administrator or Diagnostics & Therepeutics, the Director of Testing & Innovation is responsible for directing, managing and evaluating the operations, marketing, customer satisfaction, effectiveness and clinical outcomes and profitability of those area associated with COVID Specimen Collection/Mammo Van by Upstate University Hospital and through affiliated organizations. The Director will also, in coordination with Clinical Operations staff, ensure that the supply chain for COVID testing is monitored and maintained. The position is also responsible for the development of innovative programs necessary to bring new testing and diagnostic to the Upstate community.. Will provide direction and leadership of department managers in the delivery of optimal patient care and efficient utilization of resources.
Minimum Qualifications:

Masters degree in Public Administration, Hospital Administration or Business Administration Five years progressive management experience in a healthcare environment (other management experience MAY be considered). Working knowledge of management principles, healthcare planning, strategic planning, finance, reimbursement, federal and state healthcare regulations and human resource development and management. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Proficient in mapping software (such as Mapline) and decision support applications (such as Business Objects)
